Chuck Wood

Chuck Wood, a Global Change Network minister ordained as a teacher in 2004, is often seen in the forefront of finance presentations at Colorado Christian Fellowship (CCF).  Chuck recently took some time out to share a little more about who he is.

Chuck Wood has been married for 31 years to Dalita Wood.  They have a 28-year-old son who lives in New York.  Chuck has been employed with IBM for 30 years and a member of Colorado Christian Fellowship for 8 years.

When presented with the question: “What is your God-given passion?” Chuck’s immediate response was “teaching.”  Through the progression of our conversation Chuck shared that he had always enjoyed listening to the late Christian Financial radio host and author Larry Burkett. 

While a member of the Board of Elders of CCF, Chuck began to feel and display a passion for those having financial difficulties. He felt that if people were educated about finances they would have the tools needed to handle “God’s money.”  In that foundational teaching it would be the tool needed to understand the importance of handling money well. 

As a part of his goal to assist in educating God’s people, Chuck sought out and received training at Crown Financial Ministries and before too long, began to train others. Upon receiving his training with Crown, Chuck really understood that “We are stewards of all that God has given us.”  So, with his enjoyment of teaching and training, he was able to merge the two into ministry. It was at this time that Chuck began to work with families part-time in addition to his full-time job with IBM.

When asked if he had ever been discouraged? Chuck responded “Yes”, but remembered how God quickly restored him. He recalled that when he offered Crown Financial Seminars at CCF, there was always a large turnout. On one occasion, however, the attendance was unusually low.  Chuck said he was very discouraged until he heard the Lord say, “It doesn’t matter how many attend. You give it your all as if it were a thousand, because these are the people that I have sent.”  From that day forward Chuck has always taught and presented all that God has given him.
